Winning sports at regional level

November 22, 2018 by Wing Sports Officer

Last weekend four cadets from Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing represented the South West Region at the Inter Region Junior Football and Hockey Competition.

Cadet Perkins, 2342 (Innsworth) Squadron, and Cadet Down, 2152 (North Bristol) Squadron, were part of the football team that won the competition for the first time in 7 years. A fantastic achievement!

Cadet Corporal Farr, 649 (Dursley) Squadron, was the hockey team captain, with Cadet Corporal Bartlett, 181 (City of Gloucester) Squadron, also in the team. The hockey team finished fourth, narrowly missing out on 3rd place, in an extremely hard fought competition.

Well done to all cadets from the Region for their outstanding efforts! We now look forward to our next sporting fixture, with 3 cadets from the Wing representing the South West Region at Senior Rugby at the end of the month.
