Wing Cadets qualify to take part in 2014 Nijmegen Marches

April 30, 2014 by Wing Bader POC

Twenty six cadets from the Wing successfully qualified to take part in the 2014 Nijmegen Marches by completing fifty miles over two days in April 2014 at an event held at RAF Cosford.  Our A team was in the top five teams home on both days (3rd on Saturday, 5th on the Sunday) - quite an achievement considering they started mid way through the second marching detachment, setting off around 45 minutes after the first team left the gates.  The B team made up entirely of cadets from 2442 (Westbury on Trym) Squadron successfully completed the event as part of celebrations to mark the 50th Anniversary of the formation of the unit.  Congratulations to all involved and thanks to the staff volunteers who have put huge efforts into preparing the cadets over previous weekends.
