Annual Camp at RAF Shawbury
Twenty six cadets from nine different units have just returned from a fantastic camp at RAF Shawbury near Shewsbury. The cadets flew in a Squirrel helicopter and a Tutor aircraft and visited 60 Squadron who train aircrew on the Griffin helicopter, where they were able to try their hand at flying the Griffin on a simulator. The packed programme also included a visit to the Central Air Traffic Control School, shooting and a drill competition. Cadets also completed an exercise on The Wrekin and command tasks at Bridgnorth ATC Squadron.
