Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Success

April 17, 2018 by Officer Commanding 2328 Squadron

Seventeen Royal Air Force Air Cadets from 2328 (Bishop’s Cleeve), 2419 (Quedgeley) and 2467 (Nailsea) Squadrons successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award practice and qualifying expeditions.

The teams followed routes in the Cotswold countryside from Painswick to Moreton Valence where they camped overnight. On the second day, the teams walked from the campsite to Gloucester.

Hopefully the cadets will complete their Bronze Awards and help Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing beat the total of 71 Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards achieved in 2017/18, where 31 of the 71 Awards were achieved by 2328 (Bishop’s Cleeve) Squadron - an amazing achievement!

Credit goes to Flight Lieutenant Richard Jennings and his team of adult volunteers who supported the expeditions.
