Visiting the National Space Centre
2342 (Innsworth) Squadron and 2328 (Bishop’s Cleeve) Squadron joined forces to visit the National Space Centre at Leicester.
Organised by Flight Lieutenant Dave Park, Officer Commanding 2342 Squadron and supported by two staff from 2328 Squadron, the visit included the spectacular Planetarium named after the late astronomer Sir Patrick Moore. Cadets also saw the 42 metre high tower holding Blue Streak and Thor rockets as well as the Space Museum.
The experience inspired the cadets and the visit will be repeated so others have the same opportunity in the future.
