A Busy Weekend For 2509 Squadron

May 7, 2019 by 2509 (Chipping Sodbury) Squadron

Last weekend was a busy time for cadets and staff of 2509 (Chipping Sodbury) Squadron and proved to be a very successful one too. Our cadet flight sergeant represented the South West Region at football and was selected to support the Corps team. One cadet attended the RAF WARMA Event at RAF Cosford and successfully completed the 2 day 80km road march, earning his Bronze Road-Marching badge. Cadets also attended the St Georges’ Day celebration at Yate Heritage Centre and were able to demonstrate their excellent drill by marching through Yate Shopping Centre, accompanying St George himself. Sunday saw the Squadron competing in the annual Wing Athletics Championships and cadets came away with 4 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. A huge well done to all cadets for their committed efforts over the weekend.

If you want to get involved in these fantastic activities and much more, 2509 (Chipping Sodbury) Squadron and many other units are recruiting - get in touch today to find out more.
